In the mountainous region of Santa Barbara, Honduras, specifically in the El Cedral community, is located Finca La Salsa, where outstanding varieties such as Geisha and SL-28 thrive with cooler temperatures and protection from direct sunlight, under a unique microclimate due to its proximity to Lake Yojoa. These conditions contribute to the slow ripening of cherries and an exceptionally sweet premium cup profile.

Don Benjamín Paz, a close friend and winner of the Cup Of Excellence 2022 and 2024, cares about the conservation of natural resources on his farm and uses forest protection practices, as well as guama and avocado trees to regulate the shade over his coffee plantation.

The Geisha variety exudes incredible elegance with its tall bearing, long bandolas and a greater distance between knots. It seems that this air of grandeur is transferred to the cup, after going through a careful washed fermentation process, very expressive fruit flavors develop: tropical, stone, citrus and floral that provide a delicious subtlety.
